Washed out of the limestome plateau during millions years, the caves of Lanquin are a paradise for spelunkers. Several streams flow through the caves and some of them are even navigable.

The caves of Lanquin boast an impressive variety of cave wildlife and in several location pre-Hispanic artefacts have been found.
